We (Bill and Marilyn) invite you to join us at Tikapa Moana Eco Spa Retreat set in our subtropical organic orchard on the tranquil Seabird Coast, just a one hour drive southeast of Auckland on the scenic route to the Coromandel Peninsula.

Our place is nestled between the magestic Coromandel and Hunua Ranges, on the sparsely populated western shore of Tikapa Moana (Firth of Thames), serviced by the lightly travelled and picturesque Pacific Coast Highway that follows the coast of the North Island (Auckland to East Cape). This is the preferred entry point for cyclists targeting all or parts of the National Cycleway, with the Hauraki Rail Trail section starting just 6 km south of us.

Our Ecolodge is the utmost in relaxed, country accommodation. You can stay either in our rustic but quite luxurious Rammed Earth Abode (capacity 2-4), or our smaller but very cosy and private Gardener’s Retreat (capacity 2), both of which are close to the spa facilities.

We offer you a unique wellness experience that seamlessly blends together our personalised private treatments (which includes Bio Energy Therapy, Watsu and Massage), our relaxing pastoral healing environment, the organic foods that we lovingly grow in our garden and orchard ... all of which add up to a truly affordable experience that is eco-friendly in every way.

The fruitful abundance of our small organic orchard and our unique revitalising, holistic approach to living and therapeutic bodywork will all assist you to create your own personal sanctuary of wholeness, peacefullness and wellbeing.

You will find us a welcome escape from the busy-ness and stress of everyday life ... a place to truly relax and rejuvenate, and to experience rural, coastal New Zealand at its very best.

In addition to our covered outdoor hydro-massaging hot tub (right), we have an inviting indoor spa facility, housing our purpose-built 7 x 4 m fully  solar heated Watsu (aquatic therapy) treatment pool, massage room and far-infrared sauna, all with commanding views of the surrounding pastures and mountains.

International. Bill is fluent in Spanish and French, and also speaks some Portuguese, Italian, Maori and German. Most importantly, we both speak the universal language of warm and attentive hospitality.

NEWS Update. Though it is now officially autumn (April 2015) we continue to enjoy the typically calm sunny weather of indian summer. We spent the last 2 weeks of March in SE Queensland and NE New South Wales, most notably taking in an awesome Xavier Rudd concert in Brisbane, and visiting 5 country markets in the hinterlands. We continue to be challenged by the Queensland fruitfly threat at the Grey Lynn market, but are still selling our seasonal fruits (on the current menu: figs, apples, feijoas, mandarins, pears, avocados, peaches, casimiroas and walnuts).

Private therapeutic spa pool overlooking the ranges, pastures and the sea.
