New Times Pub and Carvery -Tiptree Essex

The New Times in Tiptree has been run by the same family since 1988. We are a traditional pub, serving a selection of cask ales and cool lagers, tradition bar lunches, an evening and all day Sunday carvery.

Opening times as follows:

Monday - Bar open from 11am to 6pm. Traditional pub lunches offered from 11:45 to 2:30. Closed evening.
Tuesday to Saturday - Bar open all day from 11am. Traditional Pub Lunches from 11:45 to 2:30. Carvery Restaurant open from 6:30
Tues to Fri and 5:30 on Saturday.
Sunday - Bar open from 11:15. Carvery Restaurant open all day Sunday from 12 noon.
Carvery open most bank holidays.

At the New Times we are experienced in catering for large functions, including various social clubs, family and works dos. These can be accommodated in our large restaurant, which comfortably seats up to approximately 70 people at a time. The restaurant can be pre-booked for evening or lunchtime functions, where a Buffet, Bar Food or Carvery menu is available. Funeral wakes and (pre-booked) large parties are also catered for. The New Times was built by Chelmsford family brewery, Gray & Sons, in 1974 in the Strawberry fields beside the existing Times Pub, which was converted to a dwelling.

Served Monday to Saturday lunchtime in the bar or restaurant. Pre-order for large parties in the restaurant.

Served in the restaurant for pre-booked functions.

Selection varies, we can usual cater for most requirements. Please call for bookings.

Carvery Menu
Served in our 70 seater restaurant, our popular carvery begins a visit to our starter bar, followed the carvery. Desserts and drinks are served at your table by the waiting staff.
