Brenda Quinlan has returned to us in the kitchen. Brenda has been at The Pink for a long time, but had to be off work for the last couple of years. Many of you will have favourites among her dishes – perhaps the paté, her famous brown bread, or delicious desserts. We missed her while she was away and it is wonderful to welcome her back.
People at The Pink
Amy Howe has joined us full-time as Restaurant Manger. Amy started with us 7 years back, working at The Pink through her years at college. She has since also worked at restaurants in Bandon, Kinsale and Cork.

The story of The Pink Elephant...
The Pink Elephant has been a restaurant and bar for over 55 years. The building itself is much older, being one of the oldest houses around. It is set on a spectacular site overlooking Courtmacsherry Bay just at the point where the Kilbrittain and Argideen estuaries meet to enter the Atlantic Ocean.
If you had been in The Pink in May 1915 you would have had a grandstand view of the Lusitania as it was torpedoed and sunk a few miles offshore. More recently you could have seen a 60 foot fin whale that beached just along the coast.
The building was recently refurbished, giving the bar and dining room the best of our wonderful views. Free wi-fi available. Outside is a large patio for dining when weather allows and extensive lawns for relaxing or playing. Large private car-park.
