We offer luxurious en-suite bed and breakfast accommodation only a short distance from the vibrant centre of Bristol, and the Regency splendour of Bath. Set in its own beautiful gardens, the guesthouse is part of Whitegate Nurseries, otherwise known as ‘the Secret Garden Centre’, which has stunning views across the Avon Valley.
The guesthouse is centrally heated throughout, with digital TV and DVD in every room, free Wi-Fi, and safe parking on-site. There is a comfortable guest lounge with TV, video and DVD and there are also beautiful areas to sit and eat in the gardens. Our twin and double rooms are priced at £69.50 including a Continental breakfast, or £75.00 including a full English breakfast. For single occupancy we charge £45.00. Complimentary hot drinks are always available, and chilled mineral drinks and chocolate are on sale. We offer special rates for long stays and ‘beds without breakfast’, please ask us for details. We are usually open over Christmas and would love to welcome you. Payments can be made by cash or cheque, or we accept all major debit and credit cards.
The Blue Room
The Blue Room looks out onto a colourfully-planted patio with table and chairs. Why not relax outside and enjoy a glass of wine before retiring to bed? This room has an en-suite shower room, a TV and DVD, and can be used as a single or a twin.

The Garden Room
French doors from the Garden Room open on to a private veranda overlooking a pond and gardens. Fall asleep to the sound of the nearby waterfall. This room has an en-suite shower room, a TV and DVD, and is set up as a double.

Information for guests
We recommend you visit us by car as we are tucked away up a winding lane, and not on a bus route (the nearest shops are about a mile away). We are not able to serve evening meals but we can recommend some lovely country pubs and restaurants, which provide excellent, good value meals. Our adjoining garden centre also has a coffee shop which is open from 10 o’clock to 4 o’clock and serves tasty light snacks as well as hot drinks, sandwiches, cakes and real-cream teas.

Just twenty minutes drive to Bristol or Bath, we are also within easy reach of the Mendip Hills, Cheddar Gorge and the Quantocks (so loved by Wordsworth, Coleridge and Southey). The awe-inspiring coombs and moors of the Brendon Hills and Exmoor are less than two hours drive away, with the Cotswolds also close by for walking and sightseeing.
