HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Olivia was diagnosed with chondroblastic osteosarcoma, a severe form of bone cancer, in the left pelvis in February just days after her fifteenth birthday. After 30 weeks of chemotherapy at UCLH the tumour had not shrunk so the only option was to undergo major surgery. On 3rd November Olivia had an 8 and a half hour operation in which her left leg, pelvis and sacrum were amputated. She sat up for a few minutes for the first time on Tuesday and on Thursday sat in a wheelchair.

"Go hard or go home" is the expression Livvy used after I suggested we wait until the rain had passed when we took her for a carriage drive just before she bravely underwent surgery to remove the tumour in her hip.

On Monday 5th May several pairs of horses will be driven from the Hare and Hounds pub in Layer Breton, Colchester. Over 100 miles of non stop driving to Fakenham Racecourse in Norfolk on Tuesday 6th May for 'Livvy's Race', to help raise funds. Please all show your support for this incredibly brave young lady!
