Welcome to
Kings Head Theatre Pub

Welcome to the King’s Head Theatre Pub! Located on the trendy and eclectic Upper Street in Islington. We are best known for being the first theatre pub since Shakespearean times when the theatre was founded in 1970. But while we are famous for our theatre in the back, at this Victorian pub our customers also enjoy great drinks in front of a roaring fire, see the images of the world’s famous stage faces and listen to some of the best live music Islington has to offer.

The Theatre

The King’s Head Theatre stands at the back of the pub since 1970. Originally a room that had been used as a boxing ring and a pool hall, the King’s Head established the first pub theatre in London since Shakespeare’s day. With a variety of different types of shows and performances throughout the week, make sure to book online to see the latest shows to take the stage. Tickets available online and can be picked up in the pub.
