About me:

I am Masoud Fatemi. I have a M.Sc. in Computer Science - Artifical Intelligence from Isfahan University of Technology (IUT) with concentration on Machine Learning, Neural Networks, Natural Language Processing and Graphical Models. Also, I hold B.Sc. in Software Engineering from Shahrood Univerisity of Technology (SUT). Currently, I am a researcher and a member of Machine Learning group at School of Computing at University of Eastern Finland (UEF). Prior to this, I was a researcher at Machine Learning and Pattern Analysis Lab at IUT supervised by Dr. Mehran Safayani (google scholar), and also a member of Cognitive Science group at Imam Khomeini International University supervised by Prof. Abdoljavad Ahmadi (PhD in Psychology), where I used to designe, impelement and develop computational models in the field of Cognitive Science with concentration of Working Memomty.


I am broadly interested in Artificial Intelligence and interdisciplinary researches with the contribution of AI. Moreover, the main topics of my specialization are Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Deep Neural Network and Graphical Models. Currently, I am working under the supervision of Prof. Pasi Fränti and Prof. Mikko Laitinen (also here) on a "Natural Language Processing Tool for Online Twitter Data Analysis" (it is an ongoing project).

  • Topic Modeling, Sentiment Analysis, Keyword Extraction, Information Retrieval.

  • Interdisciplinary Researches, specifically bioinformatics and health related researches with the contribution of AI and ML.

  • Novemebr 2018 - Present: Researcher at Machine Learning group at University of Eastern Finland. I have been working on a "Natural Language Processing Tools for Online Twitter Data Analysis" under the supervision of Prof. Pasi Fränti and Prof. Mikko Laitinen (also here).


  • July 2017 - July 2018: Researcher at Cognitive Science group supervised by Prof. Abdoljavad Ahmadi at Imam Khomeini International University.
