1. About the Finnish general education system

Kindergarten, pre-school, school, vocational & lyceums, two branches of tertiary level education

2. Class teacher education

University based, Master degree in Education (or e.g. Mathematical subjects)

3. Mathematical subject teacher education

Master degree in the subjects meant to be teaching
2-3 subjects studied, math & phys 80 %, math & chem (& phys) 15 %, math & else 5 % (my guess!)
Very few school positions with only one subject to teach!
