A) Open IBM SPSS Statistics through Desktop or Start-menu.
Open the previously used data.
Select Analyze → Regression → Linear....
Set the dependent variable (average).
Set the independent variable (Exam1 points).
( By clicking Save, it is possible to calculate e.g expected values and residuals.)
( Plots..-button is used to set the plottings of residuals.)
Click OK.
Thus, you will see the following results and you will get the following regression model:
average = 1.936 + 0.913 · Exam1 points
R square = .929

Close the output-window by clicking X
